In 2018 Lebanon public debt was 72,060 million euros85,138 million dollars, has increased 1,6305,603 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 155.08% of Lebanon GDP, a 5.09 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 149.99% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lebanon debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 31,976 million euros 47,023 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 161.49%.
According to the last data point published, Lebanon per capita debt in 2018 was 10,506 euros12,413 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 10,328 euros 11,664 dollars, afterwards rising by 178 euros749 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 6,711 euros9,869 dollars .
The position of Lebanon, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 187 in the list of debt to GDP and 156 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
