In 2019 Kuwait public debt was 14,153 million euros15,845 million dollars, has decreased 3,5145,020 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 11.77% of Kuwait GDP, a 3.07 percentage point fall from 2018, when it was 14.84% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Kuwait debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 5,061 million euros 7,060 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 6.65%.
According to the last data point published, Kuwait per capita debt in 2019 was 3,364 euros3,766 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 3,822 euros 4,514 dollars, afterwards dropping by 458 euros 748dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,452 euros2,026 dollars .
The position of Kuwait, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 6 in the list of debt to GDP and 110 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
