In 2016 Kiribati public debt was 38 million euros 42 million dollars, has increased 88 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 22.88% of Kiribati GDP, a 2.96 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 19.92% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Kiribati debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 10 million euros 13 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 11.34%.
According to the last data point published, Kiribati per capita debt in 2016 was 330 euros365 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 277 euros 307 dollars, afterwards rising by 53 euros58 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 107 euros135 dollars .
