Kazakhstan national debt goes up

In 2017 Kazakhstan public debt was 29,349 million euros33,143 million dollars, has increased 4,9366,128 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 19.87% of Kazakhstan GDP, a 0.19 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 19.68% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Kazakhstan debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 3,130 million euros 4,290 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 4.09%.

According to the last data point published, Kazakhstan per capita debt in 2017 was 1,616 euros1,825 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,362 euros 1,508 dollars, afterwards rising by 254 euros317 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 201 euros276 dollars .

The position of Kazakhstan, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 17 in the list of debt to GDP and 81 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
