In 2017 Albania public debt was 8,310 million euros9,384 million dollars, has increased 450686 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 71.9% of Albania GDP, a 1.42 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 73.32% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Albania debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 4,171 million euros 5,718 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 53.55%.
According to the last data point published, Albania per capita debt in 2017 was 2,895 euros3,269 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 2,732 euros 3,024 dollars, afterwards rising by 163 euros245 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,410 euros1,933 dollars .
The position of Albania, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 151 in the list of debt to GDP and 111 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
