In 2019 Algeria public debt was 69,936 million euros78,293 million dollars, has increased 13,80712,005 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 45.77% of Algeria GDP, a 7.95 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 37.82% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Algeria debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 9,615 million euros 13,411 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 9.78%.
According to the last data point published, Algeria per capita debt in 2019 was 1,611 euros1,803 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 1,318 euros 1,557 dollars, afterwards rising by 293 euros246 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 273 euros380 dollars .
The position of Algeria, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 75 in the list of debt to GDP and 77 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
