In 2017 Algeria public debt was 40,741 million euros 46,025 million dollars, has increased 11,16413,286 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 27.46% of Algeria GDP, a 7.02 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 20.44% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Algeria debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 13,294 million euros 18,220 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 13.5%.
According to the last data point published, Algeria per capita debt in 2017 was 981 euros1,108 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 726 euros 803 dollars, afterwards rising by 255 euros305 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 393 euros538 dollars .
The position of Algeria, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 26 in the list of debt to GDP and 62 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
