National debt fell in Afghanistan

In 2017 Afghanistan public debt was 1,255 million euros 1,418 million dollars, has decreased 119 102 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 7% of Afghanistan GDP, a 0.82 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 7.82% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Afghanistan debt. It has gone down since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 1,257 million euros 1,723 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.14%.

According to the last data point published, Afghanistan per capita debt in 2017 was 35 euros40 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 40 euros 44 dollars, afterwards dropping by 5 euros 4dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 47 euros65 dollars .
