ELECTRICITY PRICES - Lithuania June of 2014

The price of electricity is reduced in Lithuania

The average price of electricity in Lithuania, in June of 2014, has been 0.133€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has decreased € 0.0061 kWh, 4.39% since the last semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in Lithuania in that period was € 0.0893 per kilowatt hour, compared to € 0.0878 kWh in the previous semester. The price of electricity excluding taxes increased by 1.71%.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in Lithuania has increased by 3.84%.

From 2007 until now, the highest price of electricity in Lithuania has been € 0.1391 kWh, in December of 2013, while in June of 2008, electricity price was € 0.086 kWh, its minimum price in this period.

Finally, if we compare the price of electricity with taxes and without taxes, we see that, in the last period, households paid € 0.0437 of taxes for each kilowatt hour, which means that 32.9% of what households pay for the electricity are taxes.
