Number of suicides increases in New Zealander

In 1967 around 274 suicides occurred in New Zealander, 28 more than in 1966.

New Zealander reported 10 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 11.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

New Zealander has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 274 recorded suicide cases in 1967, 191 were men suicides and 83 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14 per 100,000 men and for women 6.1 per 100,000 female.
