Suicides increase in Guatemala

In 2004 occurred 461 suicides in Guatemala. This year, 7 more people committed suicide than in 2003. In Guatemala, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Guatemala had 3.61 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.53 self-harm per 100.000 people.
