Greece has a low suicide rate

In 1968 occurred 314 suicides in Greece. This year, 17 more people committed suicide than in 1967.

Greece had 3.6 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 11.66 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Greece has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 314 recorded suicide cases in 1968, 227 were men suicides and 87 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 5.3 per 100,000 men and for women 1.9 per 100,000 female.
