Suicides grow in Bhutan

By 2013, suicides in Bhutan increased by 1 people to at 88 suicides

In Bhutan there were 12.75 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.78 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 88 recorded suicide cases in 2013, 55 were men suicides and 34 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.09 per 100,000 men and for women 9.84 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Bhutan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 24 homicides in Bhutan, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 3.7 suicides.
