Armenia - Intentional self-harm

In 2003 occurred 122 suicides in Armenia. This year, 1 fewer people committed suicide than in 2002.

Armenia had 3.8 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 122 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 95 were men suicides and 27 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 6.16 per 100,000 men and for women 1.61 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Armenia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 76 homicides in Armenia, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.6 suicides.
