The annual variation rate of the CPI in Tanzania in August of 2024 was 3.2%, 2 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been -0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2024 is 2.2%

We must highlight the increase of 0.4% in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, until its interannual rate reached 2.2%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels of -1.3%, and an interannual variation of 5.3%.
