Nigerians CPI increased up to 21.8% year-on-year in January of 2023

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Nigeria in January of 2023 was 21.8%, 5 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.9%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2023 is 1.9%

We must highlight the increase of 2.1% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 24.2%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Communication of 0.6%, and an interannual variation of 10.9%.
