The annual variation rate of the CPI in Mexico in February of 1983 was 113%, 30 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 5.4%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 1983 is 16.8%

We must highlight the increase of 9.2% in the prices of Furniture, household equipment and maintenance, until its interannual rate reached 119.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages of 3.6%, and an interannual variation of 99.1%.
