The annual variation rate of the CPI in Iceland in December of 2011 was 5.3%, 1 tenth higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.4%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 5.3%

We must highlight the increase of 1.7% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 6.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Furniture, household equipment and maintenance of -0.4%, and an interannual variation of 2.5%.
