In November, vehicle registrations in Czechia grew by 3.34% with respect to November of 2012. In total, 16,779 cars were registered and 182,871 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 6.82% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of November is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 2,082, 2.36% more than in November of 2012.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 14,697, which represents a figure of 3.48% more than in November of 2012.
Czechia is the 42th-placed country in ranking of 135 countries based on number of vehicle registrations.
A very useful variable for estimating the level of economic wealth enjoyed by Czechs residents, when compared to the other countries in the ranking, is the number of vehicles sold or registered per thousand residents in the last year. With annual sales of 17.39 cars per 1,000 residents, 1.6 of them in the last month, Czechia, occupies 38th place in the ranking.
As can be seen, the number of registrations per thousand residents has grown in the last year. The increase in this figure is positive, as it generally indicates improved public confidence in the country's economy.
