In January, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 13.72% with respect to January of 1965. In total, 58,228 cars were registered and 838,019 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 15.78% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 10,461, 43.66% more than in January of 1965.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 47,767, which represents a figure of 8.75% more than in January of 1965.
