In January, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 53.61% with respect to January of 1956. In total, 32,745 cars were registered and 511,349 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 9.82% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 6,051, 35.89% more than in January of 1956.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 26,694, which represents a figure of 58.29% more than in January of 1956.
