In 2017 Zimbabwe public debt was 14,027 million euros15,841 million dollars, has increased 4,9105,752 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 74.08% of Zimbabwe GDP, a 25 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 49.08% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Zimbabwe debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 2,537 million euros 3,477 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 44.67%.
According to the last data point published, Zimbabwe per capita debt in 2017 was 972 euros1,097 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 641 euros 709 dollars, afterwards rising by 331 euros388 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 211 euros289 dollars .
The position of Zimbabwe, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 154 in the list of debt to GDP and 62 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
