In 2017 Zimbabwe public debt was 10,248 million euros 14,505 million dollars, has increased 4333,236 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 52.87% of Zimbabwe GDP, a 1.29 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 54.16% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Zimbabwe debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 2,537 million euros 3,477 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 44.67%.
According to the last data point published, Zimbabwe per capita debt in 2017 was 620 euros878 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 608 euros 698 dollars, afterwards rising by 12 euros180 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 211 euros289 dollars .
The position of Zimbabwe, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 100 in the list of debt to GDP and 42 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
