In 2019 Zimbabwe public debt was 162,454 million euros181,867 million dollars, has increased 150,211167,408 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 113.92% of Zimbabwe GDP, a 52.43 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 61.49% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Zimbabwe debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 4,069 million euros 5,675 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 58.71%.
According to the last data point published, Zimbabwe per capita debt in 2019 was 11,092 euros12,418 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 848 euros 1,001 dollars, afterwards rising by 10,244 euros11,417 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 333 euros464 dollars .
The position of Zimbabwe, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 167 in the list of debt to GDP and 154 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
