Public debt went up in Switzerland

In 2019 Switzerland public debt was 255,564 million euros286,129 million dollars, has increased 11,1342,663 million since 2018.

This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 39.64% of Switzerland GDP, a 0.15 percentage point fall from 2018, when it was 39.79% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Switzerland debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 171,303 million euros 238,670 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 43.11%.

According to the last data point published, Switzerland per capita debt in 2019 was 29,696 euros33,247 dollars per inhabitant.
