In 2017 Sudan public debt was 49,344 million euros 55,333 million dollars, has decreased 827 411 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 163.21% of Sudan GDP, a 41.23 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 121.98% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Sudan debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 23,284 million euros 36,126 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 55.76%.
According to the last data point published, Sudan per capita debt in 2018 was 1,351 euros1,324 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 1,209 euros 1,366 dollars, afterwards rising by 142 euros42 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 644 euros948 dollars .
The position of Sudan, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 183 in the list of debt to GDP and 71 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
