In 2017 Serbia public debt was 23,508 million euros26,547 million dollars, has decreased 2,3812,102 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 60.09% of Serbia GDP, a 10.31 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 70.4% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Serbia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 9,879 million euros 13,541 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 31.2%.
According to the last data point published, Serbia per capita debt in 2017 was 3,358 euros3,792 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 3,677 euros 4,069 dollars, afterwards dropping by 319 euros 277dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,341 euros1,838 dollars .
The position of Serbia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 127 in the list of debt to GDP and 117 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
