In 2017 Namibia public debt was 4,924 million euros 5,562 million dollars, has increased 8321,033 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 41.53% of Namibia GDP, a 2.01 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 39.52% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Namibia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 1,233 million euros 1,690 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 18.72%.
According to the last data point published, Namibia per capita debt in 2017 was 2,078 euros2,348 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,761 euros 1,949 dollars, afterwards rising by 317 euros399 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 619 euros848 dollars .
The position of Namibia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 72 in the list of debt to GDP and 93 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
