In 2018 Namibia public debt was 5,685 million euros 6,713 million dollars, has increased 6851,064 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 45.79% of Namibia GDP, a 4.81 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 40.98% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Namibia debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 1,103 million euros 1,623 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 18.76%.
According to the last data point published, Namibia per capita debt in 2018 was 2,355 euros2,781 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 2,111 euros 2,384 dollars, afterwards rising by 244 euros397 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 545 euros802 dollars .
The position of Namibia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 81 in the list of debt to GDP and 96 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
