In 2019 Namibia public debt was 6,642 million euros7,436 million dollars, has increased 808546 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 59.9% of Namibia GDP, a 9.5 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 50.4% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Namibia debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 1,014 million euros 1,415 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 15.47%.
According to the last data point published, Namibia per capita debt in 2019 was 2,701 euros3,024 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 2,417 euros 2,854 dollars, afterwards rising by 284 euros170 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 494 euros689 dollars .
The position of Namibia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 115 in the list of debt to GDP and 98 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
