In 2016 Lithuania public debt was 15,447 million euros17,169 million dollars, has decreased 434518 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 39.7% of Lithuania GDP, a 2.8 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 42.5% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lithuania debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 4,152 million euros 5,214 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 17.3%.
According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2016 was 5,424 euros6,029 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 5,498 euros 6,123 dollars, afterwards dropping by 74 euros 94dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,278 euros1,604 dollars .
The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 67 in the list of debt to GDP and 137 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
