The transparency law of Mexico has been in force since 2002 and with it has earned 136 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Mexico holds the first position in the ranking, so it is the country with the best transparency laws.
This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
