Latvia at No. 89 in ranking of transparency

The transparency law of Latvia has been in force since 1998 and with it has earned 72 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Latvia is now ranked 89 in the transparency ranking formed by 123 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
