Germany, among the countries with the highest electricity prices in Europe

The average price of electricity in Germany, in June of 2011, has been 0.2528€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has increased € 0.009 kWh, 3.69% since the previous semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in Germany in that period was € 0.1406 per kilowatt hour, compared to € 0.137 kWh in the previous semester. The price of electricity excluding taxes increased by 2.63%.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in Germany has increased by 1.81%.

The average price of electricity since 2007 reached its maximum, €0.2528kWh, in June of 2011 and its minimum price, €0.2025 kWh, in June of 2007.

Germany is the second European country with the most expensive electricity.

The difference between the price of electricity with and without taxes is € 0.1122 tax for each kilowatt hour, thus, 44.38% of what households pay for electricity in Germany.
