Islam is the Sudan's top religion, around 72.71% of the population. The entire population, 100%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Sudan population, has remained to 100%. As to Islam it has decreased, the previous survey recorded 73% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 72.71% follow it.

Animist Religions is the second most practiced religion in Sudan, accounts for about 19.29% of the population.
