There are 30 suicides per day in Thailand

By 2014, suicides in Thailand increased by 106 people to at 10,980 suicides In 2014, on average 30 Thai committed suicide every day.

In Thailand there were 16.04 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.71 suicides per 100,000 people.

Thailand is a country with a high rate of suicide.

Of the 10,980 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 7,621 were men suicides and 3,358 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 22.26 per 100,000 men and for women 9.4 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Thailand suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 2,649 homicides in Thailand, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.1 suicides.
