Of the 10,863 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 7,575 were men suicides and 3,289 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 21.84 per 100,000 men and for women 9.17 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Thailand suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 2,387 homicides in Thailand, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.6 suicides.
