Suicides remained unchanged in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

In 2003 around 7 suicides occurred in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as occurred in 2002.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reported 6.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 7 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 6 were men suicides and 1 were woman. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.89 per 100,000 men and for women 2.11 per 100,000 female.
