In 1964 around 269 suicides occurred in Norway, 25 less than in 1963.

Norway reported 7.3 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 11.15 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Norway has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 269 recorded suicide cases in 1964, 209 were men suicides and 60 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 11.4 per 100,000 men and for women 3.2 per 100,000 female.
