Suicides fell in North Macedonia

By 2010, suicides in North Macedonia increased by 45 people to at 122 suicides

In North Macedonia there were 5.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.87 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 122 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 87 were men suicides and 35 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.4 per 100,000 men and for women 3.4 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In North Macedonia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 43 homicides in North Macedonia, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.8 suicides.
