Suicides grow in Lebanon

By 2014, suicides in Lebanon increased by 16 people to at 174 suicides

In Lebanon there were 2.78 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.71 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Lebanon, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 174 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 115 were men suicides and 59 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 3.68 per 100,000 men and for women 1.88 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Lebanon. However, in Lebanon in 2014 there were there were 240 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.4 homicides per suicide.
