Lebanon - Intentional self-harm

In 2015 occurred 182 suicides in Lebanon. This year, 8 more people committed suicide than in 2014.

Lebanon had 2.85 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.47 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Lebanon, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 182 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 120 were men suicides and 62 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 3.73 per 100,000 men and for women 1.91 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Lebanon. However, in Lebanon in 2015 there were there were 231 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.3 homicides per suicide.
