Suicides grow in Jordan

By 2004, suicides in Jordan increased by 6 people to at 184 suicides

In Jordan there were 3.3 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.53 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Jordan, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 184 recorded suicide cases in 2004, 133 were men suicides and 51 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4.65 per 100,000 men and for women 1.91 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Jordan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 42 homicides in Jordan, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.4 suicides.
