In 2003 occurred 26 suicides in Iceland. This year, 4 fewer people committed suicide than in 2002.

Iceland had 9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 26 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 20 were men suicides and 6 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 13.8 per 100,000 men and for women 4.1 per 100,000 female.
