Iceland - Intentional self-harm

By 2002, suicides in Iceland increased by 6 people to at 30 suicides

In Iceland there were 10.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.78 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 30 recorded suicide cases in 2002, 20 were men suicides and 10 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 13.9 per 100,000 men and for women 7 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Iceland suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 4 homicides in Iceland, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 7.5 suicides.
