Of the 926 recorded suicide cases in 2000, 692 were men suicides and 234 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 32.2 per 100,000 men and for women 10.1 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Croatia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 101 homicides in Croatia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 9.2 suicides.
