Azerbaijan, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.
Of the 240 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 190 were men suicides and 51 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4.67 per 100,000 men and for women 1.2 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Azerbaijan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 183 homicides in Azerbaijan, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.3 suicides.
