Icelanders CPI increased up to 8.5% year-on-year in March of 2010

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Iceland in March of 2010 was 8.5%, 12 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.6%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2010 is 1.4%

We must highlight the increase of 7.1% in the prices of Clothing and footwear, until its interannual rate reached 15.5%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels of -1.2%, and an interannual variation of -2.1%.
