CPI falls in May of 2011 in Egypt

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Egypt in May of 2011 was 11.9%, 2 tenths less than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 3.9%

We must highlight the increase of 5% in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, until its interannual rate reached 54.2%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages of -0.5%, and an interannual variation of 19.8%.
