In March, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 43.73% with respect to March of 1972. In total, 132,162 cars were registered and 1,141,121 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 16.59% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of March is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 28,081, 55.25% more than in March of 1972.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 104,081, which represents a figure of 40.91% more than in March of 1972.
