In January, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 7.76% with respect to January of 1967. In total, 59,204 cars were registered and 819,570 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 0.56% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 10,276, 8.56% more than in January of 1967.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 48,928, which represents a figure of 7.59% more than in January of 1967.
