In May, vehicle registrations in Canada grew by 18.7% with respect to May of 1958. In total, 55,646 cars were registered and 476,844 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 8.75% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of May is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 7,935, 12.6% more than in May of 1958.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 47,711, which represents a figure of 19.78% more than in May of 1958.
