In January, vehicle registrations in Canada fell by 1.95% with respect to January of 1947. In total, 13,704 cars were registered and 229,982 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 75.2% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 4,388, 8.62% less than in January of 1947.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 9,316, which represents a figure of 1.54% more than in January of 1947.
