Since June 2017, the national minimum wage in Türkiye remained fixed at €447.9 per month, that is 5,375 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Turkish liras, which is the official currency in Türkiye, we can see that, this year, it was 1,777.5 Turkish liras and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2017 which was 8.5%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Türkiye is in 36 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 115 of the list.
